The Ball Caps Blog

Ivy League tigers

While I’ve concentrated on baseball caps to date, it’s time to switch things up a bit and venture into other types of caps.

At left is a Princeton University cap I was given earlier this year by a friend who joined the university staff. A little bit of New Jersey, the cap has quickly become one of my favorites. The style is simple and elegant, befitting an Ivy League school: the classic black and orange university logo on a basic twill cap.

Finding a patch of ivy for a photo backdrop was a bit of a challenge in my neighborhood, where at mid-summer many lots are quickly turning brown. Tumbleweeds are blowing off some of the big sections of land where anticipated housingĀ  developments have stalled.

The Princeton cap is a nice reminder of the leafy neighborhoods of Princeton and the towns around it that only rarely filter into the national perception of the Garden State.
